The Aneng MH13 is a good quality insulation resistance tester according to the technical specifications provided by the company. In my case, i conducted a test for insulation resistance and short circuit once i received the product. For insulation resistance, the meter was perfect to my satisfaction, but when it came to the event of a short circuit, there was a strange sound on top of the normal beeping sound. I wasn't expecting this since due to the specifications the meter is only supposed to display a low ohm reading and a beeping sound. I communicated with my supplier and he told me that my setup was not right, since i was testing for short circuit and not for insulation resistance. So i was confused since insulation resistance is meant to detect if there is a short circuit and in case of a short circuit the meter should behave normally.At last after further communication with the supplier the technicians said the additional sound is normal. So the additional sound was my issue
